what bizarre weather.
it was so dark this morning it was like winter. dark grey skies, no light coming through at all. then torrential rain, thunder and lightning for half an hour. it's now breaking, there are bits of blue in the sky, and it's stopped raining. it's very warm, though there's no sun yet, so the huge puddles are shrinking and there's almost steam coming off the pavement.
food diary (friday)
half galia melon (very sweet and tasty)
non-raw flax-hemp-carob bar (which previously i've really enjoyed but it sat heavily in my stomach today, perhaps because i've got used to raw now?)
big green salad with carrot, peppers, tomatoes, spring onion, flax, hemp, sunflower and pumpkin seeds
salad and dough sticks, two glasses wine, half cheesecake (you're right in assuming that wasn't raw and we went to pizza express for dinner)
i've had a really tough couple of weeks at work and decided i wanted a glass of wine with my dinner, so we went to pizza express and i chose the best option i could for my dinner, shared a pudding which was probably a bit too much, frankly, and had way too much wine. i was very tiddly. it was funny, though. i used to be able to drink two bottles of wine and not get drunk, but two glasses and i was away with the fairies. i giggled and tripped most of my way home. great fun :)
saturday started early, as boo had some work to do at 8am. luckily it went very smoothly and he was back in bed, with the tea tray by the bed, by something to 9. we'd planned to shift some stuff over to the storage place to make room for mum and dad, and jo, boo's sister, offered to come over and do the driving. unfortunately the storage place is suffering flood damage and was closed. we were gutted. we'd done loads of work getting ready for this, and organised our weekend round it and we're stuffed at the last hurdle. no idea how we're going to move the stuff now. *grumble grumble*
in the afternoon boo went off to a family gathering while i did some work helping out a friend who's got a start-up company. and i've made grawnola (drool...!) which is now in the dehydrator, getting sticky and crunchy ready for breakfast on sunday :D
